Holly Barr has been passionate about real estate since she was a child, and has made it her career since 2001. While she was growing up Holly’s family bought and sold properties all over Monterey and Pebble Beach, which exposed her to key aspects of real estate like negotiations, renovations and staging.
Holly earned bachelors and masters degrees in social work at San Jose State University, which she put to good use running programs for at risk youth in East San Jose, and training adult volunteers to be mentors. After that Holly used her people and presentation skills as a corporate trainer for DuPont, Round Table and Technology Credit Union.
Holly loves real estate and believes in doing everything she can to serve her clients. She’s passionate about her neighborhood of Willow Glen, and works to make it as much of a “village” as it can be. Her children attend Willow Glen public schools which keeps her in touch with the community, and she runs a blog called Willow Glen Charm.

From “Holly Barr Bar” chocolate bars and frisbees to neighbors only wine and cheese open houses and progressive open houses with prizes, I strive to go above and beyond and out of the proverbial box to get a homes sold.
I’ve done videos of homes and sent them to people with my commentary and had contractors come and give opinions on remodeling before an offer is even made. Open houses with a BBQ happening right outside to offering a drawing for a gift card to those who attend an open house.
Community
To me, being active in the community is extremely important. Not just to meet new people and make great connections but also to build a better place to live — a place where people want to live and move to. The more people want to live in a community, the better the property values are.
I’ve organized Neighborhood Watch meetings, coat drives, a neighborhood-wide rummage sale with over 65 houses, photo contests, meet-n-greets for incoming middle schoolers, and community feedback forums.
